Mount Moran
Skiing the Skillet
An 11:30pm alarm, cruising the lake crossings, a blustery summit and a classic cruiser ski. The first pitch of skiing was steeper than the rest.

There were plenty of stars but no moon while we crossed the lake. Headlamps on red or completely off made for a nice silhouette of Mt. Moran
We skinned roughly 4000ft before transitioning to booting
We passed two groups of three and and a solo skier before reaching the summit
Jed taking in the views not too far from the top of the Skillet
Alex topping out
A rare Brocken Spectre
From the top of the Skillet it was a short hike to the summit
Alex approaching the summit
The summit was relatively calm for about 5 minutes... then the wind kicked up and it got cold
We spent a chilly 30 minutes on the summit
Jed stoked... but ready to get back to the Skillet where hopefully there is protection from the wind
Not too shabby!!!
