I always prefer loops to out and backs. Through hikes are usually more statisfying than loops. There is something cool about finishing in a completely different zone.
I highly recommend setting a shuttle for this incredible tour of the eastern peaks of Ridgway's skyline.

The road to the TH isn't overly technical however there can be slick deep mud puddles. Thus the 4x4 recommendation

The final objective for the day... Ridgway. I did some exploring and got cliffed out on the way to the Whitehouse / Ridgway saddle. Have fun with it!

Reconnoiter from Ridgway's summit. I chose to avoid this ridge and skip this peak. I have read that the route from Reconnoiter back to my starting point is bushwhack hell.
