A steep punchy climb for a single summit with pretty ok views. The north ridge has some scrambling if you want it... but be careful of loose rock in exposed areas.

From the trail we ascended a loose steep weakness to the north ridge

There was a little spice before reaching the ridge

Uncompahgre views to the northwest

The north ridge had steep trees and some scrambly terrain

There was some optional class 4 scrambling. Avoidable on climbers right below the cliffs.

Some of this stuff was loose

From the north ridge we descended this LONG gully to the trail. In retrospect I think the north ridge descent might be better.

One of many creek crossings on the trail. Glad the water wasn't high
