Star Peak
Date: 09/05/2022
Distance: 6.4m
Elevation Gain: 2900ft
Duration: 3hrs 50min
Star's eastern slopes and north ridge were loose and sometimes felt dangerous. I often felt I could bring a pile of rubble down on myself if not careful. Do yourself a favor and climb this one with snow.

From the trail - Taylor top right - Star off in the distance

After hiking the well maintained trail and ascending to the upper basin the loose (and somewhat dangerous) mess of Star reveals itself

This stuff was tedious and loose. I constantly thought I could bring a pile of rubble down on myself if not careful. Definitely recommend this one with snow.
