I have skied Helen a number of times with the intent of descending the south couloir. However each time the conditions have not been right.
I will have to say however that Helen's east face in corn conditions is tough to beat. The approach is short and easy... and the descent is hero. If the conditions are right and you are looking for a cruiser corn ski... Helen is the call.
