Sheep Mountain (UR)

Sheep in the morning light from Lizard Head Pass. The trail to treeline is pretty OK. There is dead-fall here and there sometimes making navigation challenging.... but not too bad.

It's nice to be on the ridge

Pilot Knob, Golden Horn, Vermilion and Fuller off to the east

Some scrambly bits (2+) are fun but avoidable if you want. I climbed them but went around on descent

I crossed Sheep's easy summit to an exposed class 3 tower that begged to be climbed

Given the nebulous nature of what points are listed as 'unranked peaks'... this should probably be listed as Sheep's summit

After breaking my right index finger a few days earlier, I picked up an ultra light titanium ladder that folds into my pack for class 3 and above
