An iconic peak at the top of Telluride Resort is a nice little quick hit from Alta Lakes. The hike starts out gentle before transitioning to steep grass, a short stint of gravel on hard pan and a few fun scrambly moves below the summit.
Still not sure exactly what happened but I fractured my right index finder on descent. Must have inadventantly knocked it on a rock. Not too bad as far as injuries go, but will have to recalibrate summer climbing plans.

Started on a road before connecting to single track to northwest ridge. Palmyra(L) - Silver (R). Would love to traverse between these two at some point

It is your responsibility to know that the terrain above consists of steep grass and some loose gravel and spots of hard pan

The last pitch to the summit. You can go around to the left (as I did on descent) or right up the middle (C3 on solid rock that was bolted)

A look across the ridge to Silver. Would love to traverse this at some point as Hilaree Nelson and Jim Morrison did in the summer of 2018 (per Silver summit register)

Yep... small fracture close to the base of the index finder. Time to re-calibrate this summer's plans
