A fun little scramble with an easy approach and a longer than expected drive.
The drive to the trailhead through the fall aspens was stunning.
Lone Cone being so far west of the major peaks gives a unique perspective on the San Jauns.

The ride to/from treeline was GTG. I stashed my bike

The first section of ridge was the most challenging of the day (exposed class 3). Most but not all of the rock on the ridge line was solid

The slabs are fun to climb and go at an easy 3

A fun feature to climb

Once past the fun climby feature it is all talus until you are back at treeline. It was easy climbing to the summit but tedious descending the northwest ridge
