The hike to Lake Hope is relatively mellow and on a well maintained trail. Our mileage and elevation gain includes hiking to the south side of the lake where we setup camp. There were not a lot of flat spots to setup tents around the lake.

There were a couple of easy stream crossings

We setup camp on the south side of the lake with a great view of Vermillion
