The basin below Windom, South Windom and East Windom is an amazing place with cool lakes, gentle terrain and great views. However climbing and descending South Windom's west gully from Chicago Basin is not so great. It is steep, hard pan and rottting rock... I don't recommend it. Maybe climb South and East Windom from Sunlight Basin or this route with snow.

On the way back to camp I hiked over the Windom/Eighteen saddle and met Kristi at Twin Lakes for lunch and another feet soak. Needle Ridge looking badass over Twin Lakes
