Mount Sherman Ski
It was a chilly blue bird day on Sunday 1/13/19. Robby and I met 1/2 mile below the Levick site at 11am. We skinned to Sherman's summit then skied off of it back to the truck. We covered a little over 8 miles and 3000 vertical in 4.75 hours with plenty summit time and breaks along the way.

We covered a little over 8 miles and 3000 vertical in 4.75 hours with plenty summit time and breaks along the way.
We skinned up the road to just below the summer gate. A great view of Centennial 13er Horseshoe Mountain front and center. A local resident had plowed the road and was pulling out a stuck Subaru just below the Levick site.
The road was plowed to the turn off for Horseshoe. This is where we started breaking trail. Bi-Centennial 13er Mt. Sheridan left of Center.
We took the path of least resistance to the White Saddle avoiding anything remotely steep.
The skin was relatively gentle. Sherman front and center.
Mount Sheridan
Although it was chilly when we started we were down to base layers halfway up. I was in a t-shirt.
Gorgeous views of White Ridge and beyond from just below Sherman's summit.
Robby approaching the summit
It got chilly on the summit and we put on every layer we had. Alex and Robby with Sherman's true summit just behind us.
Amazing views of the Sawatch and Sheridan's west ridge
Robby enjoying some powder turns. We had to ski gently on the fresh powder to avoid bottoming out on the rocks below.
Alex skiing just below the summit
There were spots with little to no base and we had to gingerly side step down to avoid tearing up our skis. Robby taking in the views of Sheridan and Horseshoe.
When we stayed in the lowest points of the gullies the snow was relatively deep and fun to ski.
Mt. Sheridan looking majestic
Robby excited to get back to the truck after a successful day
Great views skiing the road back to the truck. Sheep Mountain front and center.
