On Saturday 3/30/19 Robby, Kristi and I left Denver at 5:30am for the Kite Lake Trailhead to climb and ski Mount Bross... aka 'Brahs' for all you Bro's.
Kristi and I had a hankering to ski Bross as we were stormed off of the mountain a week earlier Escape from DeCaLiBron.
The forecast called for partly cloudy skies until 1:00pm, then it was supposed to snow.
When we left Denver it was snowing heavily and the roads were challenging. Hmmm... were we making the right call?
When we arrived in Alma the visibility was poor over the mountains in Buckskin Gulch. We were a little nervous as we did not want to repeat the prior week's shenanigans.
However once we started skinning the weather cleared up and the day turned out to be perfect.
Booting up Bross' West Ridge was relatively mellow as was the ski down South Bross' West Gully. The snow on South Bross was significantly softer than that on Bross. Definitely recommended for an easy spring climb and ski.
Stoked on our adventure we headed to Park Bar in Fairplay to celebrate another grand day in the mountains.

From Bross' summit we hiked to South Bross for the ski. Robby checking out the line below.
The snow on this line was soft and powdery.
