For skiing, peaks in the Upper Piney Basin are best accessed via East Booth Pass. Depending on your objectives you could also consider accessing/egressing this zone via West Booth Pass.
East Booth Pass offers offers countless prime skiing objectives. As with much of the Gore, long approaches make for big day trips. We opted to camp and hit a few of the higher profile lines on this 3 day / 2 night Denali shakedown trip. Would love to come back and ski the Piney Plunge on Peak P amongst others.
This was a Denali training trip and we carried heavier packs and sleds. Definitely a chore bringing all of that stuff up to Booth Pass, but it made for some pretty fat living once we were there. We skiied, The Spider, Peak H (Straight Arrow) and The Fly from camp.

We ate like kings in our luxury kitchen. Even had a house guest (Joel Racicot) over for tequila and beer. Joel was solo skiing in the zone.
