Peak N - O
Date: 10/10/2020
Partner: Kristi Henes
Trailhead: Brush Creek
Summits: Peak N(Class 3), Traverse to Peak O(class 4)
Distance: 14m
Elevation Gain:4800ft
Duration: 9hrs 30m
Peaks N and O are a worthy outing. You will need a 4x4 to get to the Brush Creek TH. The gentle hike to Lost Lake from the TH is on well maintained trails. Once you reach the lake however, you will be met with a quintessentail Gore bushwack to the upper basin. Gaining Peak N's east ridge from the upper basin was a little loose but not too bad. Once on the ridge the scrambling is easy and fun. From Peak N's summit, the view to Peak O is intimidating however the traverse is a classic and does not exceed class 4. When in doubt go left... but a lot goes up and over. Descending Peak O's north ridge back to Lost Lake is on steep and tedious talus... and it never ends. But don't be sad because once you are off the talus more Gore bushwhacking will take you back to the lake.

Black Lake on the left... Lost Lake (our target) on the right. Descending O's north ridge was long and tedious. Then we had the pleasure to bushwhack to the lake.
