When Stanley invited me on this Gore Range link up I was excited. The weather was perfect, we had a rare February green light and the route looked rad. Despite questionable snow conditions (wind slab/crust) we couldn't resist three cool ski lines in this amazing range for the low low price of 5k in vert.
We met at the Gore Creek TH and left my truck. Stanley's wife Magda dropped us off at the West Deming runaway truck ramp where we began our day.
The shuttle eliminated the long skin up Gore Ridge from Gore Creek.
We had brought a rope for protected ski cuts and ended up using it at the entrance of the Deming Drop. However we did not get anything to slide.
Due to snow conditions and time we did not ski Elevator Shaft. Instead we dropped some fun terrain into upper Gore Creek. I guess we need to go back... twist my arm!
