Summer Hike
Northeast Ridge - Class 4
I have climbed Pyramid during the summer twice now. Once in August of 2009 with Kristi and another with Jim and Mike in September of 2018. This gallery is a best of from both trips.
From Maroon Lake the round trip is 8.5 miles and 4800 vertical and takes about 9 hours including an hour of summit time.
Here is a link for the GPX file from the climb. Looks like my GPS got a little confused in the Amphitheather

Snow made the Amphitheater fun. Without snow the Amphitheater is tedious.
Amazing views of Snowmass and Capitol as we climbed the gully to the ridge
The Bells didn't look so bad either

The Green Wall is steep but not difficult.
Be careful not to knock rocks on climbers below you. Both times I have climbed Pyramid there have been potentially deadly rockfall triggered by climbers and goats.

Great views of Sievers from the Amphitheater
I don't think I have ever climbed a mountain in this valley without seeing a goat. This guy was especially friendly
Obligatory Bells shot
