(I started my GPS late... start/end points were the same)
Distance: 6.3 miles 3700ft from CR390A west of Winfield - roughly 7 hours with plenty of summit time.
Kristi on Ervin's south slopes
Looking up to the west side of Ervin's summit ridge
There was some fun scrambling even before reaching the ridge.
Ervin's west ridge was chock full of class 3 scrambling and was definitely the highlight of the day
Kristi in Ervin's west ridge. Summit not too far off
There were a couple of easy snow crossings on the ridge. However we were thankful we brought our axes as a ride would have been scary
After tagging Ervin's summit we headed back across the ridge towards Blaurock.
Kristi on a spicey down climb with some loose rock
Alex heading to Blaurock
Alex on the summit with La Plata in the distance. It was cool to see the Ellingwood Ridge from this perspective.

Rinker, Hope and Twin Lakes all jacked up on Android photo enhancements
Huron, Ice and the Apostles
Did I mention it was nice to have our axes?
Kristi descending Blaurock's sourth ridge.
The gully between Blaurock and Ervin had been decimated by an avalanche earlier in the year.
We were stoked to glissade the avy path
Kristi on the last of the glissade before we bushwhacked back to the truck
