Southeast Slopes - Class 2
On the 4th of July Kristi and I hiked Dyer Mountain. Although the parking lot was packed with folks hiking Mount Sherman... we only ran into one person on Dyer... and he was skiing. The Leadville local was on day 300 of making turns since September... and he was doing it old school tele style in leathers and beat up Tuas. Dyer felt a lot like hiking in a quarry... old mining ruins, power lines, mine tailing run off, etc. The views of the Sawatch were this mountain's saving grace.
